COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE

FROM HARNESS HORSE YOUTH FOUNDATION

 

Applications are now available for 2010 scholarships administered by the Harness Horse Youth Foundation. 

 

Scholarships available include:

1.  $15,000 Gallo Blue Chip – for children of NY or NJ licensed trainers and

caretakers.

2.  $2500 Curt Greene Memorial – for students with a passion for harness

racing.

3.  Charles Bradley Memorial – for children of licensed pari-mutuel officials;

award value varies.

4.  $650 MHS – for children of trainers, drivers, and grooms licensed by the

Indiana Horse Racing Commission.

         

Now in its third decade of providing students with financial assistance, HHYF has awarded in excess of $535,000 in scholarships to worthy students.  Applications and further information obtained by visiting the website or by email, telephone or regular mail.

 

The deadline for submitting applications is April 30, 2010.

A charitable organization, HHYF seeks to provide young people and their families information and experiences with harness horses in order to foster the next generation of fans and participants.  The organization offers programs for hands-on learning as well as scholarships.  For more information about HHYF or to obtain scholarship applications, please call the HHYF office at 317-867-5877 or visit www.hhyf.org.
